MOVING CHECKLIST

Don't Wait Until The Truck Is Outside.

Every move starts the same way: “We’ve got plenty of time.” Then somehow, it’s tomorrow.

The coffee maker is still on the counter. Nobody knows where the chargers are. And someone asks, “Did anyone reserve the elevator?”

We’ve seen it all. That’s why we made this checklist.

THE WEEK BEFORE THE MOVE

Walk Through Every Room.

Don’t start packing yet. Just walk.

One room at a time.

Ask yourself one question:

If the truck arrived in an hour, would I be ready?
  • What’s coming with me?
  • What’s staying?
  • What can I pack today?
  • What will I need the first night?
PACKING

Every Box Looks The Same Tomorrow.

Today you know exactly where everything is.

Tomorrow, every box is brown.

Don’t write “Kitchen.” Write what’s actually inside.

  • Coffee
  • Plates
  • Air fryer
  • Cleaning supplies
Five extra seconds with a marker can save thirty minutes later.
BUILDING ACCESS

Five Minutes Can Save Two Hours.

Before moving day, call your building.

The truck can move your furniture. It can’t unlock the building.

  • Reserve the elevator
  • Confirm loading dock access
  • Ask about parking
  • Request a Certificate of Insurance if needed
  • Confirm move-in and move-out hours
MOVING DAY

Let The Movers Move.

You don’t have to carry boxes.

You don’t have to lift furniture.

Just be available. Answer questions. Tell us where things go.

Keep your valuables with you. We’ll handle the heavy part.

YOUR FIRST NIGHT

Don't Unpack The Whole House.

You only need a few things tonight.

Everything else can wait until tomorrow.

  • Bed sheets
  • Toothbrush
  • Chargers
  • Medicine
  • Coffee
  • A change of clothes
ONE LAST THING

Nobody Ever Says, “I Wish I Had Prepared Less.”

But we’ve heard this many times:

I completely forgot about that.
